Didn’t have a good experience with us? Couldn’t get an appointment with us? Don’t like the color yellow? Try one of our competitors. We don’t know them so we make no guarantee for their service or quality. But, it almost never hurts to shop around.
NOTE: When searching for computer service, the website “merchantcircle.com” is a SCAM site. Do not support them by clicking on any of their links. They like to mess up the addresses and/or phone numbers of small businesses and force them into making a PAID account to correct the information.
The Good:
We are just guessing that they’re good since we haven’t heard anything bad about them.
- JAXMACGUY.com | Macintosh Computer services website
We send most of our Apple computer calls to this guy. They tell us he’s great. - Doctor PC website
We generally refer people here if they want to drop off a computer since we don’t have an office. - That Geek Down the Street website
-
904 Networking Corp. website
Hmmm… if they do wiring, we will be calling them soon. -
The Computer Concierge no link, the link in Google seems to be temporary and a little questionable.
If you own this company, contact us and we’ll fix this entry. -
Friendly Computers website
Purple website… we do not approve. Just kidding. Go Vikings! It says “Friendly” right in the title! - Bartram PC Repair website
-
Blizzard Computer Service website
This guy has been around way longer than us. And, he supports his local schools. -
Anderson’s Urgent Computer Care website
We see this guys little car all over the place. - Computer Cabana website
They have an actual store front for those who want to drop off their computers.
The Bad:
Also (looking at you Best Buy…) they LOVE to sell anti-virus software. Expensive anti-virus software. Don’t buy these things. Even Microsoft has a FREE anti-virus package. Don’t trust Microsoft? (Seriously, you don’t trust the people who made the operating system that you put all of your personal information on? Seriously?) There are many more free anti-virus programs.
Are you a Comcast/XFinity subscriber? At the time of this post, Comcast/XFinity gives Norton Anti-Virus for free to its customers. FREE. That means you don’t PAY FOR IT.
Also note, the “free” inspection that these guys may offer costs them money. It’s in their interest to find something wrong with your computer.
- The Geek Squad (Best Buy)
WAY over priced and they love to wipe hard drives clean when things get a little complicated. However, I’m pretty sure their audio/video installation service is good. - Office Depot
